No matter your circumstances, your only hope in life and death is Jesus Christ.
What is the Gospel?
Jesus is good news for everyone.
The Bible tells the compelling story of a God that desires relationship with His creation. He creates an amazing, perfect world and places humans right in the center of his creation to enjoy His gifts.
But they rebel. They want autonomy and independence from their creator and choose to go their own way. Pain, sorrow, death, and destruction follow – a kingdom of darkness. This is the story of Adam and Eve.
But it’s our story, too.
All of humanity stands under judgement from God. Because of our sin and rebellion, we deserve punishment. But – and this is the good news part – God has chosen to look at his creation with love and compassion, sending Jesus Christ to deal with our sin by his perfect life, death, and resurrection.
Jesus took on our sin and shame on the cross. He bore the penalty, absorbed our punishment, and defeated sin and death once and for all. He restores our brokenness. He makes us part of God’s family. He gives us a new life. A new name. And a new hope.
By faith, as we trust Jesus– we step out of the kingdom of darkness and into the kingdom of light. And we make it our mission to show and share this good news with everyone, everywhere.
